I have kind os self immured these past two weeks, preparing for the grand send off. I have seven sealed envelopes heading to New York, and by Friday I'll send out the other 8 that have the synopsis and first chapter or two instead of just the query letter with the first bunch. I should know in 4-8 weeks whether I'm going to have an agent...which is pretty close to getting published, or if I'll have to take some more writing classes and perhaps get a good writing coach.
Good Luck! Or Break a Leg or whatever one says to an author.
