Okay,
So I finally got an accurate measurement with my new and improved Tanita body fat scale that only set me back -- well, I won't say because some people would see just how fanatic I am -- and it said that I weighed in at 179.6 lbs and had a 17.7% body fat. It also told me my %water, % muscle mass, MBR or how much I can eat and still maintain my weight, visceral fat (i.e. the stuff around your belly), and metabolic age, but I'm just bragging now. Anyway, when I entered the figures into Mel's BF spreadsheet I told it I wanted to lose 10 lbs of fat and gain 5 lbs of muscle. This would put my final weght at 175 and my BF at 12%. Game on!!!

Where did you get this scale from? We might have to invest in that model. I had gained 3 pounds since two weeks ago. That birthday cake kills me. I have started jogging and lifting again and have almost lost those pounds again. So after two weeks I am now back to my starting weight.
Our gym has reopened under new management -- and increased fees, but it is cleaner and they say they are getting new equipment.
Anyway, although I did some lifting at home and went to the HS weight room several times, I am quite sore from getting back at it downtown.
I also got on the scales and it was a scary number. I think we may need to set the timeline out a bit.
I'd be up for that if you are. I'd like an accurate BF% as well, and I haven't been able to get a good reading. I have been gaining some muscle, so my 14 lb weight loss goal might not be feasible. What do you guys think about pushing the date back a bit, especially since we just now got Tim squared away with a goal. (which btw Tim, you got your work cut out for you boy) 5 lbs of muscle means a lot more when you are our age. I may need to go in and do a buoyancy test or something.
