visual storytelling

So my classmate is a street racer. He recruited me to work with him on a documentary of it for our class project. The group I'm filming is involved in both the legal and illegal varieties of racing. We have shot a bunch of interview footage as well as a quick burst. The climax of the film will be a race of some sort. All of it is going to be "tricky" to capture. The weather will have to cooperate, and one of the guys will have to get his machine fixed. He wrecked it in a legal drift race. I'm trying to get them to find a drag strip of some sort where we can film it without the intervention of jonny law. I also want to get some shots from an overpass and maybe from the perspective of a sunroof. We may shoot everything slow and then speed it up, which might make it more comical.
