Melanie didn't call and tell me where she put the key to her house. What to do, what to do? Maybe the Dean's have a key?? Maybe Melanie will e-mail me about the key? Pregnancy must make one absent-minded. . .
The Porter clan is staying home this year for Christmas. This sounds very relaxing. Tim had strep throat but caught it early so he'll be healthy on his birthday.
Tuck got student of the week. If you didn't know, previously Tucker had been performing poorly on his tests - not being a discipline problem, but not paying attention either. He seems to like to test each teacher in this way. But on Monday he brought home a certificate that said. "Tucker has made himself into a top student in our classroom. He is rarely off task, especially in math, an is a leader in our classroom. Awesome! Mr. T"
Thanks to mother sending various squishy balls, Tuck no longer chews on his clothes or twists his hair.
I'm enjoying a slow, but fun attempt at this new, modern novel. I've been kind of stressed, so you won't get any pictures or cards this year. Maybe later...
India is blooming socially and continues to be one of her teacher's favorite students.
Christian gave Lainey little December birthstone earrings for her birthday, an engraved bracelet with her name on the front and a heart with his name on back. He also got her a Beaver scarf and ornament since they're both OSU fans. If you don't remember, Lainey is the dream girl Christian has been pining for since fourth grade. They are officially, "going out" whatever that means, and it's been almost four months! That's long term in middle school.
Lucy has been cured of her peeing/anxiety problem and I'm finally breaking down and training her. She sits, jumps on her blanketed part of the couch,( instead of running on everyone's laps) and comes sometimes.
Anita and J.C. are coming on the 23-24th, so we're pretty excited. They are taking Eli, the fluffy male cat that fat Abby loves to torment. We'll let you know how that visit goes.
