Xbox Party Plans

OK, the xbox day and family reunion are just a couple days away and I wanted to get some details out there. We are hosting a Xbox party on Saturday Aug. 13th. Play will start in the afternoon sometime. It seems like people start drifting in around afternoon with peak play around dinner time. I was hoping to get things started earlier in the afternoon this time since we have the reunion the next day but I can't control when Greyson's friends show up.

So here are my questions for you all:
The Porter's are staying with me and I would like to know when they will be arriving? Friday?? Saturday?? You are of course welcome to come when you want I would just like an arrival estimate for planning purposes.

It sounds like my mother and father are attending. Do they have a place to stay? Will Grandma be joining them? Any of the Aunts? Are you continuing up to Castle Rock or what? I will try to set up a shaded outdoor visiting area for people who just want to hang out and talk and don't want to be in the middle of gaming.

And for the Deans; you are pretty easy since you live here. You are welcome to come over whenever.

I will let Greyson supply any Xbox equipment specific requests that he may have. It doesn't look like that many non-family guests will be attending but you never know.
I am going to go to Costco tomorrow and see if there is something already prepared (like Lasagna) that I can buy for feeding the hungry masses. (I may also pick up my reunion dish there as I really don't like to cook for other people) I was also thinking about a slip n slide for our back lawn but I am not sure of that yet.

So I hope to see you all this weekend.

I planning to bring barbecued ribs. I will cook them here tomorrow and they will need to be heated up at your house. Will you have oven space? Let me know. If not, I'll get them as hot as possible and bring that way.

We are going to go on to the Longview/Castle Rock area to stay the night.

Melanie - Don't forget to bring the lemonade container with ice in it. I have the lemonade mix.

The Porters will be arriving Saturday morning between 11a.m. and 1p.m. I'm planning on making Grandma Sharp's baked beans while I'm there(for the reunion). Maybe I'll make extra and that would go well with the ribs. We'll also bring up some veggies and dip for the party and some 2%milk for the kids. I like the sitting and visiting area idea. The kids are all jazzed to go...India wants to see Ada. The weather is supposed to hot for Sunday. Maybe I'll sit out the volleyball this year. I'll hold Kalena and cheer for the rest of you old, cumbersome spectacles.
