Okay - I started this and it disappeared so if there is a blank something you know what happened.
So, I want to hear the back-to-school news. Is everyone excited? Do they have their first day of school clothes picked out? Or do boys do that?
Dad and I cleaned out the raspberry patch this morning with hopes of actually having some raspberries next year. I also climbed on the stepladder and washed the up-high living room windows. Much better.
Our bikes have new innertubes and Dad has gone on two practice rides. It takes him a few times to get his nerve back so that we can go together. I wish we had some better places near here to ride. The regular roads are pretty scary.
Wish I has some real news, but I don't. We start in-service week on Monday--4 days this year instead of 3 so maybe everyone will feel less rushed.
Melanie, did you get the dog house built. Dad is dying to know about it. Send pics.
Speaking of, I can't seem to be the pictures to save anywhere that I can find them to attach here. The only solace I have regarding my ignorance is that many people are worse.
Mom

Yes, the kids are ready and excited to go back to school. India has picked out a very stylish blazer and matching jeans with Mudd leather boots for her first day. I told her she might be hot, but I guess that is not of importance the first day of school. Tuck would like to go shirtless, but we vetoed that. Christian is into his hair...deciding what style and if he wants tips or streaks. He also wants to know if they've made something to get rid of freckles.
The kids' Mom is ecstatic, no exaggeration, and has been writing 4 hours each night. I'm 2/3 through this final edit and the new football coach's wife has a father who taught writing and lit. and all that at a university. He wrote a textbook on writing and is now retired. I'm hoping to get some free feedback from him.
Tim loves his job and is included in all the administration stuff. I hate all that P.R. stuff and that's why it's imperative that I get this novel published. People allow for writers to be eccentric and hermit-like and not be pleasing and gracious.
We're finishing staining the fence and that's about all. I was wondering about an applesauce making social? OH, and does anyone need any strawberry jam??
Traci
I would have thought India would have half that jam gone already.
Applesauce making sounds good. I think the apples are more like September though. We need to invest in a peeler/corer. I like the applesauce I made last year, but the kind where you actually peel the apples instead of just smashing the juice out of them would be even better.
Who would like to do research into what kind of apple makes the best sauce?
Oh me. Me me me.
You keep making foods that I don't like. How about we do a frozen lasagna making event or a cheesecake gathering?
