2nd hand building

My coworker and I snuck off from work yesterday to visit the "rebuild-it center" in Hood River. They carry "gently used" building materials that are donated from people and sold at cheap prices. I bought a pack of shingles, flashing, 3 boards and two door handles for $10. They also had new windows and doors for half of retail price (around &250 for the large slider doors). Some of you may not find this of any interest, but it just the spot for dog house building supplies.

I think Ada deserves some flower boxes, maybe gingerbread trim, no, let's see, Ada's more of a regal dog. She might go for a red velvet opening, and she's the type to be an Elvis closet fan. She mentioned to Greta once about a strobelight for her indoor lighting needs when its all done, and then Ada asked Greta if she wanted to finish the experience with some of her "special" mushrooms tucked along her dog paths. Greta did as we taught her and just said no.

Greta chewed up her $40 pad that fits exactly for her "igloo", a pad made in such a shape so that no dog could drag it out and chew it up into eighty-four pieces.

We're having Tim's Mom and Grandma this weekend. We haven't seen Joyce in like 4 years although she's been invited more than once. Tim isn't real happy with his mother. The kids complained, and Tucker said "who's coming?" We'll see how it goes. India complained to her teacher, saying that she didn't want to see her Grandma Joyce. I hope the school counselor doesn't call. I bought a Halloween edible house kit from Costco. Between creating that, playing monopoly, and going to Castle park, I think we can all stay busy this weekend.

Life is weird.

We had a blast at the casino. We're planning a trip during or slightly after the Christmas holiday. Then, on to Reno or Vegas after taxes come back. We'll have to check our spring break dates.

I bought the Rolling Stones "forty Licks" C.D. It's sweet.

I got to get to work.
