Our fishing efforts were not in vain. This fish is called a sheepshead (because of the cute sheepy wittle face, and the buck teeth used to break through oyster shells). These are a delicacy in
some Vietnamese cultures. Brings back fond memories. Normally these guys will swallow the hook and create a bit of a "project" in getting your lure back. Notice the friendly spines on the back, and they can bite if you use anything but pliers. Dad and I gave him a lot of space/respect. We also caught an eel, but didn't get a shot of him. Creepy.
Had some boiled crawfish yesterday before heading out with the family on the boat bringing some beer along. good times. Lot of good food, some of which I've resisted. Eating crawfish is a lot of
work. Calorically speaking, you probably break even. It's warm down here. Palms, oaks, and loud cricket and frogsong at night. Southern stuff.

Gettin' back to your roots, huh? Sounds like a good alliterative time--food, family, fishing.
I liked your project you posted, too. Have you heard on your grades yet? Larry is still heady over his calculus final grade. No, more smug, I think.
Spring break is half gone and not much to show for it.
Charlie had class tonight and did fairly well. She wears me out. I suggested the trainer take her for a few weeks and we'd be back to pick her up when she was all trained. She didn't go for it.
We saw "Million Dollar Baby" today. It was pretty good, but of course loses something due to the big build up.
Yeah. I got all A's with one being an A- (like last quarter). The elusive 4.00....
Glad Larry has a source of smugness. That's hilarious.
What kind of skills are you and Charlie learning these days?
Yeah, we saw that movie before the hype really got rolling on it, but I'm very partial to Clint Eastwood's stuff. He loves the gray areas.
